Amazon Connect implementation

Amazon Connect Implementation for Small and Mid-Size Contact Centers

Fixed-price Amazon Connect rollouts that replace aging on-premise phone systems, with the AI, automation, and messaging built in rather than bolted on a year later.

The problem

Your contact center runs on hardware and licensing decisions somebody made a decade ago. Every change goes through a vendor ticket and a change fee, the per-seat licensing climbs whether or not you grow, and the reporting tells you call volume but nothing about why people are calling. Agents are tied to a building, which stopped being acceptable some time ago.

Replacing it keeps getting deferred, and the fear is reasonable: these are your phone numbers and your routing. Done badly, customers hit dead air. The CX consultancies that specialize in this price for enterprise rollouts and will not scope a project your size, and your own team has no reason to already know Amazon Connect.

What we do

Migration off your current platform

Numbers ported, routing rebuilt to match what you have today, and a phased cutover so you are never betting the whole contact center on one evening. Typical starting points and tasks:

  • Avaya, Cisco, Genesys, and on-premise PBX systems
  • DID and toll-free number porting, with carrier lead times planned for
  • IVR and menu rebuild, including hours, holidays, and overflow
  • Queues, routing profiles, and agent hierarchies
  • Agent desktop setup, including the Contact Control Panel
  • A rollback path that stays available through cutover

AI and automation

The part that usually gets postponed until it never happens. Automate what does not need a person, and give agents the context they would otherwise ask for twice:

  • Self-service bots with Amazon Lex for the calls that are really lookups
  • Contact Lens for transcription, sentiment, and searchable call analytics
  • Automated post-call summaries and dispositioning
  • Call deflection to self-service or messaging where it suits the customer
  • Routing driven by caller data rather than menu choices

SMS and outbound messaging

Two-way SMS so customers can text you, plus the outbound side: appointment reminders, status notifications, and campaigns that do not need a human to press send.

Custom integrations and development

Connect is only as useful as what it knows about the caller. We wire it into the systems that hold that:

  • CRM screen-pop and click-to-call
  • Ticketing and case management systems
  • Order, account, and billing lookups during the call
  • Custom contact flows backed by Lambda
  • Custom agent interfaces where the standard desktop does not fit

Reporting your managers will actually open

Queue and agent performance, abandonment, handle time, and call reasons, built into dashboards aimed at the decisions you make weekly rather than at a telephony admin.

30-day support, with ongoing available

A 30-day post-launch window is included so anything that surfaces in day-to-day use gets handled, with the option of an ongoing support and enhancement plan if you want a partner past go-live.

How it works

  1. 1

    Scoping call

    30 minutes

We learn your current platform, your call flows, your integrations, and what is driving the move.

  2. 2

    Fixed-price proposal

    within 5 business days

Scoped deliverables, the target design, a fixed price, and a timeline. No T&M, no surprises.

  3. 3

    Build and test

    3-6 weeks

Contact flows, integrations, bots, and messaging built and tested against real call scenarios before anyone relies on them.

  4. 4

    Number porting

    2-4 weeks, in parallel

Started early and run in parallel, because carriers set this pace rather than we do. Temporary numbers let everything else be tested while it completes.

  5. 5

    Cutover, training, and 30-day support

A phased switch with rollback available, agent and supervisor training, documentation, then a post-launch window with the option to continue on an ongoing plan.

We have taken a Connect rollout all the way through

We have implemented Amazon Connect end to end, through cutover and into production use, rather than standing up a proof of concept and handing over a diagram. That included the pieces that usually get deferred: the AI and automation layer, two-way SMS, and the custom development needed to make Connect fit how a business already works.

It helps that most of a real Connect rollout is integration and cloud engineering rather than telephony configuration, and that is our day job. We build on AWS daily, and we copresented on database migration with AWS's own Data team at AWS Summit Los Angeles in 2025. You get a senior single point of contact from scoping through handoff, and a fixed price quoted before any work begins.
